4th Gen. Repair

I have an old 4th Generation Ipod and it has seemed to stop playing songs smoothly, it will play for a few minutes then stop and continue to skip to the next song. I have tried resetting and restoring it, but nothing works. When I listen to the back of it, it sounds like the hard drive is skipping? How can I fix this?

Sounds like a bad hard disk drive. You can get replacement parts and instructions at ifixit.com.
