transferring cds to itunes

I transferred a home made cd to my new macbook in itunes to transfer to my ipod and can't figure out how to edit in the track, artist etc... I am new to mac HELP

After importing the songs into iTunes, Right click on the song and then select Get Info. Click on the INFO tab and edit away.

You could also just click the text you want to change in iTunes and re-name it that way. But you're probably better of with James's way :)
