I read a number of threads about poor USB hub performance. The cause is usually insufficient power from the Mac motherboard, a regular (and chronic) Mac feature.
Enter, stage left, a solution that should work for Mac people who have laptop computers, or take your computers away with you wherever you may go.
Its name is Cyberpower (a name familiar to US folk?) and it is the best gadget I've yet seen in USB peripherals. A battery powered USB hub.
I get nothing for this, I live thousands of kms from the US, I have nothing to do with Cyberpower Systems, I just happen to think it's a terrific invention. See attachment. Take it from there if you will.
