Like an idiot i plugged in my external hard drive into a pc, but the pc couldn't read it. So i plugged it back into my mac and when i did the mac said that there are Volumes unreadable for mac os x, and now the mac will not read the external hard drive. Is there anyway to get my drive working again? are my files retrievable? or am i screwed?

carnivore40,

Not sure, but I would go to Applications>Utilities>Disk Utility, select the external if it shows up on the left side (make sure it's plugged into your Mac) and do a disk verification and disc repair on it, see if that helps.

It appears your external hard drive has decided to go south. :( If Disk Warrior can't read from it, it's probably dead. May be time to get a new one.

Regards.
