Advice on buying Battlefield 2142

This game looks awesome!!!! Sadly, it has many bad reviews on the apple.com website. I really think it looks good and am really excited to buy it...but should I??? thats the question i have a 2 week old macbook 4 gb RAM and 2.4 ghz and 250gb hardrive (virtually untouched) any advice??? Also is there any rumors floatin around that the deluxe edition might come out for mac, like it did for PC in January...any opinions are appreciated

Granted it's the PC version but they are the same usually. So I'd say pick it up.

I just bought it a few days ago. However, I really don't have much faith on the whole PC>Mac game conversion, I have heard there are many bugs when they do this. My reccomendation would be to buy it if you don't plan on putting boot camp on your computer, but if you have boot camp, (XP or Vista), then buy the game for windows.

It's a cool game... I bet it would be a great way to 'test out' your new computer.
I only have it for windows though.

However, I like battlefield 2 much better...

I 100% agree. BF2 is way better, I lost my old copy I gotta buy it I think its only like 27 bucks with all 3 booster packs from newegg.com right now.
