Lexmark Printer issues

Hi everyone, I have a lexmark x2500m all-in-one printer and I am having some problems getting it to print. I go to the sys. prefs. and under printers/fax it shows my correct printer, says it is idle, looks ok to me. I try to print anything, and it says error communicating with printer, and just sits there.

I've tried it both connected to my airport and directly to the computer, and no dice either way. What am I overlooking?

Did Lexmark supply a driver for OS X along with the Windows drivers? If not, download the driver from here:

http://downloads.lexmark.com/perl/downloads/downloads.cgi

Install the driver (it's for OS X 10.5.X) and it should work.
