Microsoft Ergo 4000 KeyBoard on Mac-Problems

I purchased the above keyboard which relieves my wrist discomfort. However, the NumLock is always effectively on, even if you turn it off(light goes off). Hence, the Del key gives periods when pressed. I am using Tiger on an iMac.
Anyone have a solution to this problem ?
