installing hard drive on macbook pro

2.66ghz i7 macbook pro with 8g's of ram
I am new to this forum and i am wondering has anyone upgraded their macbook pro hard drive? I am thinking about putting in a 500g 5400rpm or a 350g 7400rpm any suggestions welcome..;D

Not sure that Hit realized you have a MBP, not a Macbook. You could void your warranty if you replace your MBP hard drive yourself. As I understand it, it must be changed by a certified tech, so at minimum, take it to your Apple Store or call Apple Tech Support and ask them about changing the drive. Perhaps they would let you buy one and they would change it for you...
