Can you uninstall mac os ?

Hi,
Just out of interest, I was wondering if mac os could be uninstalled and say windows or linux installed as a replacment os ???

Yes..you would just have to reformat the hard drive and pop in a Linux or Windows install disc.

May I ask why you would want to do this?

That's odd. I coulda swore you needed to use OS X's Boot Camp Assistant to install Windows on a Mac.

If it's an Intel Mac (with OS X) then installing Linux and Windows may be possible with some effort. I think you may have trouble locating the proper Linux and/or Windows drivers for your Mac, however. If it's an older Mac with the Motorola CPU running Mac OS (as your OP indicates it is), then the answer is no.
