I searched the forums and found a little info on the subject but figured I would start a new thread.
My mbp has a little spiderweb of dead pixels in the bottom left of the screen and also the metal above the superdive is bent down a little from normal use. I want to return it to fix the screen under warranty (purchased less than a year ago) and I have applecare but I took it to an authorized repair/sales place on campus and they said that the bent metal would signal an accident to apple and they would not repair the screen under warranty. I have tried and tried but I cannot get the metal piece to bend back up so am I stuck with extremely annoying dead pixels or should they fix it anyway?
thanks
