video cards...

if i get the macbook pro 2.4ghz, w/ the 256 graphic card.. can i change it out to a 512 later on?

That would void the warranty, I believe. And, while it may be possible on the pro, I don't think it is a simple task.

how would the 256 card and 4g of ram hold up to graphic intensive games? like if i were to play world of warcraft for example.

okay so heres the problem

refurbished macbook pro 2.5ghz, w/ the mighty mouse and iLife i could buy tomorrow... but I would have to wait about 2 weeks to buy the ram, then go install at the mac store.. for she said $30 per stick (not very happy w/ the girl there as she kept interupting me,trying to get me in the store..)..
so its that, or just buy the macbook pro 2.4ghz w/ the 4 gigs of ram, ilife and the mighty mouse all at once, and be done with it....

so it all comes down to, is that video card really worth it?

okay how about harddrives... Should i go for the 250gb @ 5400 or 200 @ 7000?

I'd go for the 200 @ 7000.

Slightly less capacity, but faster for everything.

The fact you can't change the GPU isn't a big deal. You wouldn't have seen much difference with 512 vs 256 anyway.

Agreed, unless you are going to change it out yourself later. The 7,200 RPM drive will perform better.
