running another monitor

could someone please tell me what i can do with running a monitor from my powerbook. i hook it up and i can either mirror the display wich looks goofy because that monitor suports higher resolution or it just sits there as my desktop. thank you Cj

What do you want it to do?

If you don't have anything specific in mind, I'd suggest putting up an image of an attractive celebrity (or your significant other, if applicable.) :mac:

Thats a good idea, ile probly do that too but i was wondering if its possible to run better resolution on that monitor and the same resolution on the PowerBook when mirroring displays.

sure it's possible... just go to displays in the preferences window and click detect displays. I've never done it before, but you should be able to set different prefs for each seperate monitor.
