I have a zoom modem and a trendnet tfm-560x. Neither modem will allow me to get online. Both say there is a problem with the connection. Both of these modems are brand new. I don't have a modem script for the trendnet. I can't seem to find one on their site. What components do I need to use a dial-up modem? I have a bad feeling I may be missing some control panel or extension to use a dial-up modem. I had an old Viking modem that worked until it got zapped and not neither of these modems will work. Anyone have any ideas?

You need a modem script to get any modem to work in OS 9

Zoom still does them

http://www.zoom.com/techsupport/dial_up/298x.shtml

Other than that you need to configure the TCP-IP, modem and probably Internet control panels

Sorry, a bit vague, haven't had to configure OS9 for years
