iPhone 2.0 Email no longer working.

I think it was right after, or shortly after I updated to the 2.0 software on my original iPhone, that my email stopped working.
I have even deleted the accounts and set them back up, and still nothing.
I have one that if with my website, and a gmail account, neither will work.
They just sit there saying Checking for Mail forever.

What could be the problem? I have all that Push stuff turned off.
Though I even tried it with it on once.

Mine did that same thing. Worked fine for months until I updated, updated- then it stopped working.

After I restored it twice it would download the email, but then I'd get some error when I tried to sync telling me that the iphone had cancelled the sync when syncing the mail.

I think I tried this before, but I turned the phone off, then back on, and it works now.

there is a app that fixes this issue that comes with the cydia installer if you have jailbroken it.

ssh into the phone and change the ~mobile/Library/mail to be owned by mobile again. The backup feature sets it to root and thus you do not have access (as mobile).

command chown -R mobie:mobile ~mobile/Library/Mail

voila quoi !
