powerbook problems please help

Hi every one i have searched this and have found no solution

just replace harddrive using powerbook os install hold down c nothing happens

zap ram alt/option/p+r still nothing

hold down alt at boot get a circle arrow and a arrow to right

i have a upgrade disk when i put that in drive it boot goes to installer but says cant upgrade of course because there is no os on the laptop


please help i am about ready to toss this in the trash

Can you firewire another Mac to the PB ? I've worked around the same issue doing that. Set the PB in target mode.
