Need X11 on my OS X 10.4?

Ok well I am trying to get GIMP for my Mac I am currently running Tiger but when I download GIMP it cannot find X11 and after I download X11 off the Apple Websit, it says "Cannot Install X11 on this Volume, Newer Software already exists"

WHAT IS THE NEWER SOFTWARE CALLED??? :( :( :( :( :(

The X11 you downloaded is for Panther ONLY. You need to install X11 from your system install cd's/dvd's.
