Ok, so here is my problem.
If I have an external HDD plugged into my laptop using the Firewire 1394b connection and I plug a standard 1394 firewire video camera into my computer the camera will not be seen by my editing program (Final Cut Pro 6) until I disconnect the HDD. Then the camera shows up but the HDD will not if I plug it back in. This makes it very difficult to capture long clips since I use the external HDD as my scratch disk. Whats the deal and how do I fix it???
