In the Windows world I use InfranView to resize my jpg images so I can quickly email them to associates. Unfortunately, there is no Mac version and I have searched quite a bit and have not seen any Mac software that does what Infranview does. That being the case, what is the best software, preferably free, that can quickly resize an image? It would be nice if it would attach the images to an email as does InfranView.

Thanks.

Seashore, good image editor and free

Just 2 of many, but both are well worth downloading

Those two are excellant programs but for email purposes, there are two programs that comes with the Mac that may accomplish what the original poster wants.

Attach the image to you mail and there is a pull down menu on the right bottom of the window which you can select the the size of the image to send.

If you use iPhoto, you can use Share->Email to send the photos or if you want better control of the image size and select all the photos you want to convert, use File->Export and select File Export tab and choose the parameter.

I use the Export alot to resize for web sites, picture frames, etc.
