They have the same 16-pin connection, so I would assume so. I bought an iPhone car charger for my new phone, and it advertises being able to work with most of the iPods as well, so I'd think the reverse would be true.

Depends on how it's pushing the charge. I have a car charger that works but have 2 that didn't work with the 3G iphone even though they did with the first iphone.

Resolved?

Did you ever resolve this? I just got an iPhone this week, and my iPod car charger does not work. I assume I need to buy a dedicated iPhone charge now?
