Wasn't sure if this belonged here or in a software forum...

Have had my macbook for over 2 years now, it has always run basically lightning fast ever since I threw in 2 gigs ram. Lately though it has started being quite slow and hanging/freezing for a few seconds during applications running or just taking forever to do things (not always forever but a whole **** of a lot slower than before).

Wondering what the cause might be?
What are some possible things I can do to try to maybe clean it out and make it faster again? (like using programs such as onyx to defrag maybe amongst other things?)
Also could it possibly be a virus that's causing the slowness?

Thanks for all the help

Well, it's not a virus. Have you tried Onyx?
