Hello,

My PowerMac G5 went out so my company ordered a Mac Pro. Now it cannot hook to my early 2004 17" Apple Studio Display because the connectors are different.

They (IT) ordered an adapter but it is the wrong one and they are kind of baffled.

Does anyone know what I need and where to get it?

Thanks so much,
Michelle

The adapter you need is an DVI to ADC adapter, part number M8661LL/B
Those are about $100, give or take.

At that price, you may be better off spending the money on a a new DVI monitor. Or your IT department may have a suitable one lying around

Go the new LCD route as the ADC/DVI are not only expensive, they are large bulky things requiring mains power as well as USB connections to get USB to the display.

No video card manufacturer makes ADC connections anymore alas. All video cards now come with DVI and sometimes VGA only.
