Hey guys, I'm a 1st generation iPhone user, and I upgraded to firmware 2.0 on the day of it's release. Prior to upgrading, I used to get interference on my speakers caused by incoming calls/texts, but since moving to 2.0, I get interference at very frequent intervals. It's not just little odd noises either, it's quite a bit of noise (so much that I woke up at 3am this morning to mute my speakers).

Anyone else experiencing similar issues? I'm assuming it's because my phone is pushing stuff around over the network with my MediaMe.

ive found this too, possibly due to things like Push email communicating with the server frequently?

It's all the increased data usage that's causing the GSM speaker buzz. From what I've been reading, the 3G iPhone doesn't exhibit this problem (except for when it's using an EDGE network). The only way to minimize the noise is to either follow the directions above, tell the phone to stop accessing data so much, or just don't put the iPhone near any speakers.

Well I figured it was because of all the data getting pushed around, I think I'll just solve my problem by getting a 3G phone :)

Sounds like the easiest solution haha.
