*delete key rant*

Is it me or is do MacBooks delete characters slowly?

When I press the delete key to delete a few words it seems to take forever...like a PC, I would assume it would go faster if you pushed and held the key down.

From the System Preferences you can change the repeat rate, as well as the delay.

Khris is correct, but consider - If you want to delete a lot, like many words or sentences, don't use the delete key by itself. First highlight the words using Shift-arrow and then delete them all together after they are highlighted. You can start with the first letter in a sentence and Shift-down arrow to highlight many sentences at once, then Delete...
