Pretty much thats what it is, I have a new MacBook with someone else's name on it. Actually my cousins name, and on the log in screen has the field for the name and password but on top of it has the Computers name as my cousin's and just don't like it :| . Can someone please tell me how to change it.

Thank you very much.

I had the same problem because I gave a wrong name during first run...

I changed it from System Preferences > Sharing > Computer Name

well, i'm not quite sure what you're talking about. there is the name of the user, which cannot be changed without a reformat, and there is the actual name of the computer which you can change in Sys Pref > Sharing

EDIT: whoops, ThoDis beat me to it.
