My Dad has an old G3 iMac DV and is trying to replace the battery. We have the battery, but we can't remember how to open it up to get at it. We took the top screws off on the top and middle of it, but it seems like it's hung up around the slot like there's another screw to take off, but we don't see anything? Anybody have any advice or a tutorial on how to open it?

We did it before and the place where we bought the battery had instructions, but we don't remember where we originally bought it and lost the instructions. Help!

Tip your iMac on its face (screen) on a soft towel to prevent scratches. The hatch to the RAM slots is right there looking at you. If you go in behind the ram, you'll see the battery slot. Suggest you take out the RAM to make the job easier, but handle carefully, earth yourself to the iMac metal chassis with the power plug still in the wall socket BUT TURNED OFF.

For further assistance, try YouTube with the keywords 'Take Apart iMac G3'.
