My core duo mbp always manages to wake itself from sleep as soon as i close it, ~30sec... It'll automatically collect all windows on the external monitor and of course when i open the lid the internal screen needs to be detected. There aren't any usb devices attached besides unused ipod cables and the mouse dongle (shouldn't make much difference). Any ideas what it could be? Is there a command line that brings up recent wake sources? Easy fixes? etc. Thanks.

Try unplugging all of the USB devices, one at a time and see if it wakes up. That will tell you if it is a problem with one of the USB devices.

As of right now that's all the advice I can give you, I've never had this happen to me before.
