hey people,
im a bit of a noob when it comes to macs, as i don't use one at all, but i recently got the one that had been lying around in my house something.
But anyway, i'm trying to load a linux OS on to it (smoothwall), but i am able to boot to the cdrom drive and i've read various forum posts and people there have said that they simply press "c" on boot up to boot to cd, but it didn't work for me. Can anyone help?
thanx

any suggestions muchly appreciated

Just make sure that's "press and hold" the C key at boot.

are you trying to boot from a Linux CD?

If so then you might try the alt key on start up

I hope your linux is complied for PPC, I have gotten Ubuntu to work on a G4
