Hello,
My friend is offering me an emac for $50. Its an emac g4 1.42GHZ,ATI Radeon 9200. My questions are:

Is this emac fast enough so that I can watch videos on the internet without slowdown?

Is this a good emac for basic use like web browsing and watching videos?

Yep, it will be able to do both those things no problem at all.

Yes, and yes. I have a 1.25 GHz model. It shows videos, plays streaming music etc with little or no lag. Streaming video - mine does YouTube vids without fuss, as long as the stream from the server is constant.

Odd simmons777 that it has a 9200 video card as the standard card was a 64MB 9600 which is Core Image and Quartz Extreme compatible.

You are a lucky man. Like you, I have no desire to move from my eMac (once I've expanded the hd capacity and repaired the 40 Gb disk) except perhaps in order to get a 1.42 GHz for its better graphics.
