So, I recently got a used macbook pro 17"
I looked it up and it appeared to be the older version. Yknow the 2.16Ghz and 1GB RAM MacBook Pros. So, I decided I should upgrade to 2GB or RAM.
Now what do i need exactly? Is buying another 1GB stick fine or is there only room for one? and where could I buy a good one.
Thanks.

Go to crucial.com - they have a tool that will scan your system and see how much RAM it can handle and allow you to purchase the amount you want.

In general though, it will have 2 slots which should be filled with the same amount (so if it has 1GB, it will probably have two 512MB in there) - you should generally always have both slots have the same size. So you would need to buy two 1GB chips to upgrade to 2GB.
