my dad recently gave me his old powerbook g4 that had a cd stuck in the drive and didnt work too well. i took the drive out and got the cd and put everything back together. my friend then ran some diagnostic stuff in open firmware and said the hard drive was the problem. i ordered a new one and installed it and then put an OS X disc in with the hopes of installing os right away. i keep getting a blank screen when i turn it on and sometimes i can get open firmware to pop up. i cant get it to boot from the disc or really do anything, and the cd wont come out. any help in this matter would be great. thanks
