cant sync my iphone 3g with Windows adress book?!?

i just cant sync my iphone with the adress book, i can click the check box but i cant select anything on the drop down list?? any1 help?

just to add, i get the error "iTunes was unable to load data class information from sync services. Reconnect or try again later" im sure this has something to do with my contact sync problem??
