Got mine 7 hours ago, haven't managed to activate it through iTunes yet, though the phone part is all working, so it's just that I can't download things via my Mac or put music etc on it yet.

Walked out with a working phone, that was fully activated by 11am (when I got through iTunes after driving home).

Got to AT&T at 0600, number 34 out of 75+, and left at 0900 w/ a black, 16G iPhone 3G. It took forever for iTunes to get it's act together, finally had a WORKING iPhone by about 3:00 p.m. today.

I waited in line for 6 hours and was number 73 in line. I was going out of my mind in front of the Apple store, everyone was.. But I got the white one!

Cause it is sweet looking, and if you get bored of it, it is easier to get a black case than it is to get a white one ;P

I went to my Apple store at 6pm. They were only processing about 5 customers at a time and there were 100+ in line. 100/5=20*15=300/60= 5 hours wait time estimated. No thanks. I'll make better use of my time and pick one up tomorrow or next week.

6pm and they still had them available? Man, every apple store and at&t store in the Palm Beach County, Fl area was sold out by 10 a.m.

I don't get why people would wait in line for a toy phone haha, I have a job so I couldn't have the opportunity to wait 2 or 10 hours in line, but I ordered mine friday and it should be here sometime next week. At least the activation bugs will be out and I won't have to wait in line.

I went back to the store today at about 12 noon, there was another huge line. I asked the guy who was closest to the door when he got there, he said they came and lined up a little before the mall opened at 9am.

I guess I'll have top wait a few days for the buzz to die down and then get one. At least today I could go in and play with one.

BTW GPS wasn't working on a couple iPhones I tried. I hit the locator on the maps app and it couldn't locate me. I pulled my own iPhone out and was able to locate right away. Is the GPS antenna that weak?

The lines in the Colorado apple stores are nuts.. on the release day lines ranged from 100 people to 300 people and the waits were 2hrs up to 6. The lines on day two were a bit shorter but you still had to wait 2+ hrs to get your hands on one.

Probably too weak to work in a Mall. Haven't had problems on the road or in houses, though.

My fiance just got the LG Vu ( touch screen, like a mini iPhone) yesterday when we started up our family plan but is second-guessing it. Due to some price confusion by the sales rep, we thought it was going to only cost us $30 after rebates... not so much; $179. So, for only $20 more I think we'll be getting her the 8G iPhone today or tomorrow!
