I'm a new Mac user and previously used Adobe Premier Elements to make basic family videos (minimal editing, adding music, text, etc...). What is the Mac equivalent?

As a sidenote, I used PS Elements and am planning on using CS3 for my stills.

Have you looked at iMovie? It should be in your Applications folder.

If iMovie doesn't float your boat, you can get this.

And if iMovie isn't powerful enough, Final Cut Express should be good.

But would he be willing to fork out that amount for a professional video editing software?
