As I was sulking about the palmrests of my old macbook (white) getting dirty and slightly yellow, i decided to have a go at erasing the palmrests with a rubber. quick and simple yet very effective- it took away most of the yukky stuff! you will actually be able to see the cleaned area!

tell me if this method works.

hope this solves some people' issues!:D

Yeah I figured, but I wasn't sure if an eraser was the piece of rubber he was talking about. Just thought it was funny. Mental image and all.

Mr Clean Magic Eraser works just as well as a eraser. Maybe even better.

i just used the mr. clean magic eraser about an hour ago and it worked very nicely, i was excited to see the dirt coming off. i also used it lightly in the spaces between the keys. just make sure to ring out as much water as possible and use a paper towel to wipe down the access.

I just tried the eraser and it made it worse. Turned the discoloration pink. Perhaps I need a white eraser.

lol u should have tried the white eraser. but, maybe its the REAL discoloration and not just dirt, so if nothing else works, take it to apple and have it replaced.
