Brand New MacBook Battery Wont Charge

I bought a new MacBook About a month ago. Everything worked perfectly until a week ago. My Battery was completely dead after going on a trip and when i went to plug it in the battery would not charge. The battery information says "battery is not charging" and "power source: AC adaptor". I read a similar post and reset the SMC but still no change. I also thought i was odd that the light on the AC adaptor always stays green. If anyone could help that would be great. Thanks!

Did you take the battery out and re-seat it?

Yeah, still no change

Time to send it back home to apple. The part that connects the logic board to the battery is fairly fragile and may have been damaged in manufacturing.

turns out i had a bum battery... got a new one for free ... all is good thanks for the help
