I currently have an iMac from a few years back. I have been contemplating going to a MacBook. Basically I do research on the net...creeate documents...e-mail..shop..not too complicated. Can someone explain to me the difference between an iBook and MacBook? Is it just the technology? Maybe I should be looking into the iBook and not the macbook. Price is also a consideration.

If anyone out there has any feedback on this I would like to hear it.

Thank you for your assistance

iBook is an old, previous generation macbook.

The macbooks are the new (current models).

The base + RAM upgrade macbook should do you fine.
Also get a superdrive if you wan to burn DVDs
