regarding those "white harddrives" on the desktop

I have a (stupid) question regarding those "temporary disks" which appear on the desktop when you run certain programs, such as aMSN and FireFox browser.

Is there any reason for this/is there a simple solution to avoid it? It's far from a big problem just annoying... :bone:

just move the file from the disk image to your Applications folder, and make an alias to the desktop, or the dock. Then delete the disk image :)

double xlixk the .dmg file, when the disk mounts, drag whats on it to applications on your hd, then eject the mounted disk, and delete the .dmg file.then find in your applications folder what you dropped onto it and put it in the dock.
