For $25, you really can't beat Unison - well worth the investment, IMO. I'm not aware of any free newsreaders that do all that you describe.

i use vmware fusion to run newsleecher its just so easy.. the way it repairs and extacts everything for you... like i would like it if something extracted and repaired for mac but as far as I'm concerned there is nothing out there so for now i'll just keep using my virtual machine

I'm trying Unison Trial right now, but it doesn't even show me the total download speed and the remaining time
That is bad

Well I bought it anyway because it does download my files perfectly
Just sad it can't even show the total download speed from all 8 connections counted together

Yeah, it does not show the cumulative transfer rate, instead it shows the transfer rate of each individual file - that would be a neat feature. Aside from that, I think you'll find it worth the investment. I honestly can't think of another newsreader on any platform that is as easy to use or works so smoothly.

It is worth the investment, because it downloads all of my files without hassle and problems
It's just bad they haven't thought of a speed meter
