Web Development in Mac

I would like to have some advices in how to do web development in mac.

When i'm building a website, i need to test it in all browsers, including IE. As in MAC there is no updated IE, how can we test a web-page to have sure it will work well in all browsers?

The easiest thing would be to install Windows via Boot Camp and test from that. Unfortunately, Microsoft has decided not to continue development of IE on the Mac. Not a big deal though, as long as you adhere to web standards, IE should function just fine.

Yep if you are using an intel mac you should be able to use IE from the darwine project.

I use a VM Ware image that rns windows server with all the windows dev software on (visual studio etc) and I install copies of the major browsers.

This bit of software allows you to run a number of different IE versions as they all render quite differently.

I have a Powerbook G4. I believe i cannot use Boot Camp, since i don't have an intel processor.

In that case, my solution is to have VM Ware or be careful with web standards.

I've already user VM Ware but it turn out to be very slow.

as long as you adhere to web standards, IE should function just fine.

I think its a really good thing they stopped developping for mac,
and I hope that they stop developing for windows very soon to!

Just install VMWare and run windows under that.
From there you could/should install multipleIE as you can test all previous versions of IE with it without creating problems with IE7.

Actually IE7 is very much more standards-compliant than IE6. There are still differences, but it is much less of a problem than it has been in the past, as long as, as stated, you stick to the standards.
