Way... way too many specs to list.
What do you mean by screen recorder?

Sorry if the term "screen recorder" is incorrect  I mean a program that records a movie of your desktop as you work.

Yeah it looks good, and $20 is much better than $100!

There is no time limit but it does have that watermark ever present. There are plenty of low cost or free applications out there, but I loved Screen Flow so much that I forked over the $80 (educational discount) for it.

Back to my old 2.2GHz C2D MB after selling my MBP and wondering what my next Mac will be :)
Upgrading to SL for US$29, and using Quicktime would be a great option for you too.

As 6String mentions, if you're on Snow Leopard, QuickTime X (included) does a fine job of recording the whole screen. It doesn't have all the options of something like Screenflow, but for recording the screen it does the job very well.

I used Quicktime to record a video tutorial of how to make custom icons on a Mac. It did a fine job. I'm not sure why you would need anything more.

If you still have access to it, perhaps you could post a link for the OP to see it, and anyone else who wants to see it for that matter. :)

Thank you all for your suggestions.

I tested Screenium and Quick Time and found once they are uploaded to YouTube that the quality sucks really. I would never watch a video in such a quality.

I want to do some tutorials and I need the users to be able to read things on the screen that has been recorded.

I use an iMac 27inch, and I was wondering if the quality would be better if recorded on a smaller screen?

Any suggestions?

Thank you.

Quick Time does native resolution screen recording. Its absolutely fine. what are you doing to the video prior to uploading?
