I got a brand new imac about 4 ays ago. It is an amazing computer, but when I started it up, I noticed that both iPhoto and Garage Band were missing. I looked in the trash can, a searched for them in my apps. Does anyone know what happened to them?

Hard to say without standing over your shoulder. You can reinstall them from your system discs, if you so choose. Also, don't forget to search for their names in Spotlight.

Do you have an iLife installation CD? Might just need to reinstall them, they might not have been there in the first place.
