problems with windows media player

whenever i try to play a .wmv file i am re-directed to a page that scrolls a bunch of random characters. im guessing that i may have to change a setting but im pretty unfamiliar with a lot of things. i have WMP v. 9 for mac. any suggestions? thanks.

Yeah, your mac is opening the WMV in safari (so it's displaying the raw information).

You need to ctrl-click to download it and then doubleclick it to play it in wmp.
