Mac software: need help to restore iPod library to deleted iTunes

I inadvertantly wiped out my son's G5 desktop... including around 5000 songs in his itunes. His ipod

obviously now contains all these songs and if he connects to his now empty itunes all will be lost.
Mac said there is "un supported software available that will solve this problem.
Any suggestions as to which one is the best to solve this issue so I can at least have the songs bac?

I tried Senuti, and i didn't like it as much as Ipod Music liberator:
