I have been attempting to install Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger on a separate partition I created so that I can use my recording interface (which does not work so smoothly on leopard). However when I attempt to install from my Tiger CD I get a message "Mac OS X 10.4 Cannot be Installed on this Machine". Any suggestions as to how to successfully install Tiger on the partition?

You have an Intel mac - did that Tiger CD come with that mac or did you buy it separately

If it is a bought CD it will not work on an Intel mac - Apple never released a retail version of Tiger for Intel macs

You will need to get the 10.4 (tiger) recovery disks for your system. Apple should be able to provide you with them.
