Final Cut Studio 2 SLOW INSTALL?

Hi all,

Can't find an answer to how long I should expect it to take, installing brand new Final Cut Studio (all elements) on a brand new macbook pro (2.4-GHz Intel Core 2 Duo), both right out of the box.

I'm on disk 5 out of 8, and it says it will take another 5.5 hours -- it's taken about 3 hours thus far.

Is this normal? Is this a sign that something fundamental is wrong with the computer?

It has been a while since I installed mine. I know the time you see is an estimate. As for the actual time it took, I don't know for sure since I was doing something else as it was installing.

How much memory do You have on your system?
