Looks like Apple quietly reduced the price of the MBA with the SSD about $400. Now if they can make a comparable drop in price on their refurb models, I might be interested.

It's not likely, but I wonder if this article on a DIY 64GB SSD for $400 had anything to do with it.

I just think the SSD market price had dropped and Apple decided to follow suit a little to get a few more sales. Cause for me I'd most definantly get a SSD for a portable machine if I was to get one.

And keeping it quiet is a good idea too. Cause then there'd be less uproar with all the people who bought one as the old price.

That might be a reason they kept it quiet. But seriously, it's been over 6 months since it came out, so people shouldn't complain. I'm surprised they haven't come out with a 128GB version yet. I'm sure it's on the way.
