I ripped a trailer from a dvd to test macthripper, it ripped fine, I proceeded to burn the .vob file as a vcd in toast, I know I should have converted it to someting else but I was in a hurry, I didnt burn a dvd cause I wont get my dvd burner for another week or so, anyway, I burned it, it plays fine, but the quality isnt too great, its a little fuzzy, and sorta wiggles in some places. whats the problem?

Quite simpl: It's the VCD format. The quality difference between VCD and DVD is huge, VCD is about the same quality than VHS (video tape).

So there's nothing wrong, you just used the baddest quality format thereis for your conversion. Try SVCD, it's a lot better, but still less than DVD.

I have ripped a few dvds with mactheripper onto my computer for road trips when i don't want to have to break out a dvd case and when you play the video ts folders straight off the hard drive it is exactly like watching the DVD minus the dvd drive sounds
