problem with software update for app

I am having trouble getting a new update for a poker application, when it tries to unarchive it just hangs there, i was wondering do you know what location software update zips go to?

Put the update's title in Spotlight and see if it can find it. Normally when you unzip something it goes to the desktop. If the zip is hanging, it may still be in a zipped state...

there is nothing on the desktop and, when i use spotlight, it finds nothing, and it doesn't help that fulltilt customer service take days to respond to emails
