Deleting contacts

Hi.

I can't find a way, how to delete contacts in the adressbook.
Can someone help me ?

Open Address Book, highlight the contact you wish to delete, select "Edit" from the main menu above, select "delete card".

I have always wondered why you can't just drag them to the bin like most other things. Anyone know?
