is there a way to eject the disc on the mini mac, besides using the os?

I mean what if the OS crashes, and I have a disc in the drive....how would I get it out?

Thanks.

Turn the machine on, press and hold the left mouse button. That should force an eject during EFI initialization without the OS.

on a standard key board use f12 key. There is also an eject icon in a file on your mac that you can add to the top of your desktop. I can't recall the file it is in but you can type EJECT ICON into the search here and you should find it.

You should be able to stick a pin into the side of the slot-loader, and eject the disc, or go into Open Firmware

Boot Up Your Mac
Hold Down Alt, Command , O, F
When ready type " eject cd "
